Printing inks and transfer for webbing and Laces of Sports Shoes

In 1958 Dye Sublimation was discovered. It is quite a fantastic technique where any artwork or design can be transferred onto various polyester fabrics.

We are determined to provide our service to the fullest of customer satisfaction. We love to serve our customers on Custom made printed webbing. We offer specialized inks to be applied on the webbing for printing or heat transfers. We ensure that it must qualify the industrial standard and must be appealing. We believe in quality, which implies a great customer relationship when we understand the essence of right and dedicated customer service. If you are looking for long term support for inks or Custom made heat transfer to create a brand Logo, brand artwork or design, characters and custom names, patterns, pictures on webbing. We are always there to help you. Support you in every aspect of printing.

The artworks are developed digitally, using screen-printing technology or with rotary roller printing technology, and then it is transferred to the film. Now this heat transfer film, or we can say the paper is ready to be transferred on the webbing & laces. While moving, the heat transfer film and wedding is kept inside a closed container with high pressure. In this process, the ink dye evaporates and penetrates the webbing, and now the transfer is permanent on the webbing strap. Among all the materials, polyester is the only material that accepts heat transfer onto it. And obviously, a high temperature of about 205 -220 degrees Celcius is required to transfer the labels entirely on to the webbing.

We have design and graphic team who are the specialist in Shoe printing and related solutions. Having more than 30 years of experience in design and printing solutions, we have created our position in building the brand with our design and printing solutions.

Aren’t you Curious about the sublimation process?

Let me tell you how the complete process goes.

  1. The very first process is that your artwork or design, i.e., logo, name, or any character, is printed with the technology of printing onto a heat-sensitive film with Spinks World Special ink.
  2. Screen Printing technology for printing Webbing:  One of the oldest and best ways of printing onto webbing or any heat transfer is by screen printing—Digital printing technology : a. Digital has significantly revolutionized the printing industry with high-speed printing on footwear like sportswear is slowly replacing Silkscreen printing technology. b. But the old screen printing process remains one of the perfect and precise methods of printing, although it is slow. c. The ability and science of changing the design are faster in digital printing. Switching time becomes a factor, as it takes a long time for switching and increase the cost of labor and production cost
  3. Now the polyester webbing is supplied with high pressure and heat. Under the high temperature and pressure, the special inks coverts from solid form to gaseous form, leaving the dye on the webbing permanently .
  4. You will see a bright, colorful Art on the webbing, Clear, clean, and very sharp transfer or inks.

The webbing is ready to be sewed on to the sports shoes.

Frequently asked questions

Shoe webbing and laces are primarily printed using three main methods:

  • Dye Sublimation Heat Transfers: Designs are printed onto heat-sensitive transfer film and applied to polyester webbing under high temperature (205°C–220°C) and pressure, causing the ink to gasify and permanently bind inside the fibers.
  • Pad Printing: Ideal for small, crisp brand logos, size details, or text directly applied onto lace tips (aglets) and narrow strap surfaces.
  • Screen Printing & 3D Raised Transfers: Used for high-opacity graphics, textured patterns, and tactile 3D brand emblems on thick woven straps.

EPIC Pad Printing Machine uses a flexible Sure silicone pad to apply ink directly onto curved, irregular, or narrow surfaces (such as shoelaces and lace tips) with pinpoint precision.

  • Sublimation Heat Transfer is ideal for continuous roll-to-roll polyester webbing and straps, transferring full-color digital or screen-printed patterns deeply into the fabric without leaving a raised surface film.

No. Because Spinks World dye sublimation fuses the ink directly into the polyester fibers at a molecular level rather than resting on top of the fabric, the resulting prints will not peel, crack, or rub off even when exposed to heavy friction, foot sweat, outdoor weather, or repeated washing.

Yes. Specialized high-build screen inks and 3D heat transfer films allow manufacturers to apply elevated, multi-dimensional brand logos and tactile character patterns directly onto shoe webbing, adding both a visual highlight and a premium sensory feel to sports shoes.
